I'm getting underway on an exciting new project. It's a beautiful property with its own quarry for swimming. How amazing is that?
However, the house is a bit of a hodgepodge dating back to the 1930's with many crazy additions and very low ceilings. Our goal is to breathe new life in the home fixing some funky layouts and capitalizing on the beautiful view. We will be working in two stages. Stage 1 will get the home ready for rentals this summer. Stage 2 is a larger renovation and addition slated for next year. The client will be renting the home out in the summers and spending weekend there in the winter. We want the space to reflect a masculine sensibility while bringing in some of the amazing granite colors from the quarry. The client enjoys traditional interior design elements and formal spaces.
Here's some eye candy that's inspiring me on this project.
I'm loving the layered textured quality of these interiors by two of my favorite designers Monique Gibson and Tom Scheerer.
